FAQ

GENERAL

  • Sure! I would love to help. I am currently receiving training in Trauma Informed Care and can provide low stress and personable care. As a part of Athens Wellness Collective, we offer massage, acupuncture, facials, and psychotherapy so let us coordinate a whole day for you. No reason to dread your annual exam. We are even getting an infrared sauna! Although I do not take insurance, I will provide a statement with appropriate coding and most insurances will reimburse you. I do accept HSA cards.

  • The word Midwife actually derives from Old English mid, “with”, and wif, “woman”, and thus originally meant “with-woman”. Miriam Webster Dictionary defines Midwife as 1: a person who assists women in childbirth and 2: one that helps to produce or bring forth something. I love that second definition and that is what I am setting out to do for my patients.

  • No, I do not. I find that not taking insurance gives me more freedom in the care that I provide. I take cash and credit cards including your HSA if you have one. I am also happy to provide you with a ‘super-bill’ with correct coding that you can submit to your insurance. Some services may be covered.

CARE

  • I sure do if that is what is appropriate for you and after a thorough exam, history review and discussion of the possible risks and benefits. Hot flashes be gone!

  • Nope. But I am happy to help you find a local provider that does.

  • Not yet! But I am learning more and more everyday and hope to be able to help in the future. In the meantime, I look forward to providing excellent and compassionate care to the entire LGBTQIA+ community. Feel free to email me if you have questions.

  • No, but I am happy to be a listening ear if you need one and also available post abortion should you need to discuss family planning. At Athens Wellness Collective, we can also schedule a massage, acupuncture, and/or psychotherapy afterwards if you would like.

  • I will be offering these medications to appropriate candidates after a thorough evaluation and review of risks vs. benefits. I also may recommend a different agent based on your goals and history. These weight loss meds are most successful when combined with nutritional and lifestyle changes. I recommend wearing a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) when making these changes. I can provide this to you through my partnership with Theia Health. In fact, you can go ahead and click on this link sign up to get your CGM if you want to get started.
